At Studio Eclectic Photography, we understand that our clients trust us with some of their most valuable memories and personal information. This is especially important when photographing children, families, schools and private events.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that all images and personal information are handled securely, professionally, and with care.
1. Collection of Personal Information
We may collect personal information including names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, and information required to provide photography services and fulfil orders.
We only collect information necessary for conducting our business and providing our services.
2. Image Security and Storage
The security of client images is a top priority.
In-House Editing Only
All image selection, processing, retouching, and editing is performed exclusively in-house at our Australian studio.
We do not outsource image editing or post-production work to overseas contractors, third-party editing companies, or offshore service providers.
Your images remain under our direct control at all times.
Secure Storage
All image files, including RAW files and edited images, are stored on secure, password-protected physical hard drives located in Australia.
For redundancy and data protection purposes, all image files are maintained on two separate backup hard drives.
We do not use public online cloud storage services for the storage or processing of client image files.
Image Retention
Client RAW files and final edited images are retained for a minimum of three (3) years from the date of the photography session.
After this retention period, files may be permanently and securely deleted without notice.
Clients are responsible for downloading and securely backing up any purchased digital files.
3. Protection of Children's Images
We recognise the special responsibility that comes with photographing children.
Images of children are handled with the highest level of care and confidentiality.
We will never publish, distribute, or use photographs of children for marketing, advertising, portfolio display, social media, or any other promotional purpose without appropriate consent from a parent, guardian, school, childcare centre, or authorised representative, as applicable.
4. Device Security
All cameras, laptops, mobile phones, and other devices used in the course of our business are secured using password protection and appropriate security measures.
Access to client images is restricted to authorised staff only.
5. Client Gallery Privacy
Secure Access
Online galleries are individually created for each client and are protected by unique passwords.
Gallery access information is provided only to authorised clients and designated recipients.
Confidentiality
We take reasonable steps to ensure that client galleries remain private and accessible only to those who have been granted access.
6. Use of Images
We respect our clients' privacy.
We will never share, publish, display, or use client images on our website, social media channels, marketing materials, advertising, or portfolio displays without explicit written consent through a signed model release or other written authorisation.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time for future use.
7. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer personal information to outside parties.
We will only disclose information where:
- required by law;
- necessary to protect legal rights or safety; or
- expressly authorised by the client.
8. Your Rights and Choices
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
If you believe any information we hold is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to correct it.
Subject to legal, contractual, and operational requirements, you may also request the deletion of your personal information and image files.
